Cambodia Visa / Cambodia Entry & Exit Formalities
Cambodia has 2 international gateway for arrival by air, Siem Reap
and Phnom Penh and also a selection of land borders with neighbouring Vietnam
Laos and Thailand. Visa formalities at international airports of Cambodia are easier
than at land borders, as the volume of traffic is greater. Getting Cambodia
Visa at crossing land borders is very easy, but the immigration officers
sometime try to wangle some extra money, either for the visa or via some other
scam.
Anyone who do not have a photo for their visa form will be charged
around US$2 at the airport, and around 100 bat at the land borders of Thailand.
Arrival by air is the post popular for tourists who have a short
holiday, as travelling overland to or from Cambodia puts a dent in the time in
Cambodia.
Tourists who have a long trips usually enter and exit by land as
road and river transport is very reasonable priced in Cambodia.
Customs Regulations
If Cambodia has tourist allowances, it is tight lipped about them.
You are permitted to bring into the country with a reasonable amount of duty
free items.

alcohol are on sale at cost below duty-free rates on the roads of Phnom Penh-a

Sudan and Sri Lanka need to make advance arrangements.
Passport holder from Asian member countries do not require a visa
to visit Cambodia.
One passport-sized photo is required, if you do not have one you
will be fined US$2.
It is also a good way if you want to arrange an online e-visa cost
(US$30, plus US$5 processing fee) through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
(www.mfaic.gov.kh) of Cambodian embassies overseas.
Those looking or planning working in Cambodia should choose for the
Cambodia business visa (US$35) as it is easily extended for a long periods, including
multiple entries and exits.
Cambodia tourist visa can be extended only once and just only for
one month and does not allow for re-entry.
When crossing at land borders with Thailand, travellers are
sometime overcharged, as immigration officials demand payment in baht and round
up the figure considerably.
Overcharging is also an issue at the border of Laos, but not
usually at the border of Vietnam. Arranging a Cambodia visa in advance can help
avoid overcharging.
Overstaying a visa currently costs 5 dollars a day.
For travellers who want continue to Vietnam, one-month single-entry
visas cost 55 dollars and take 2 days in Phnom Penh, or just one day through
the Vietnamese consulate in Sihanoukville. Most Travellers to Laos can Obtain a
visa on arrival cost ($30 to $42) and most travellers heading to Thailand don't
need a visa.
Cambodia Visa Extensions
Cambodia Visa extension are issued by the large immigration office
located directly across the road from the international Airport of Phnom Penh.
Cambodia Visa extension are very easy to arrange, taking just a few
days. It costs 45 Dollars for one month (for both Cambodia tourist and business
visa), US$75 for 3 months, US$155 for 6 months and US$285 for one year (the
latter three prices related to business visa only).
In Phnom Penh, travel agencies and some motorbike-rental shops can
help with arrangements, sometimes at a discounted price.
Cambodia Passports
Not only is a passport important, Cambodia visa needs to be valid
for at least six months or Cambodian immigration will not issue a visa.
It is also important to make sure that there is enough available
space left in the passport, as a Cambodian visa alone takes up one page.
It is not the end of the world if you lose a passport, but it is a
serious inconvenience. To expedite the issuing of a new passport, please keep a
