Khmer New Year 2016
Khmer New Year, is a traditional ceremony of
Cambodian people. Khmer New Year was celebrated in other to dedicate our
ancestor in an ancient history.
Khmer New Year ceremony is an important ceremony witch will
be celebrated every year on 13, 14, and 15 of April.
Cambodian people, old and young , men and women always
arrange foods, drinks, deserts, fruits to bring to the monks in everywhere in
Cambodia.
Some Cambodian people, during the Khmer New Year, they have
a few days of vocation go to visit their home town and family.
Other people during the Khmer New Year they want to visit somewhere
witch is the most popular place of Cambodia such as Siem Reap (Angkor Wat), Phnom
Penh, Sihanoukville, Kep and much more.
Siem Reap is the post popular and attracted place of local
people and international tourists in last few years.
Most of Cambodian people they want to visit Angkor Wat, and
also want to see Angkor Sankran in Siem Reap, because Siem Reap is the most
attraction destination of local people.
Many kind of Khmer traditional games will be shown and
played in front of Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom (Bayon) and Terrace of Elephant.
For the last year, Khmer New Year 2015 at Angkor Wat , there
were a lot of Cambodian people come from everywhere like Phmom Penh,
Battambang, Kampong Thom and other Province in Cambodia , come to celebrate
Khmer New year. Because Khmer New Year last year, there was Big Khmer traditional
cake, we call Nom AnSom Yek, it is so interesting for local and international
tourists.
But Khmer New Year 2016 in Siem Reap, We expect there will
be a lot of people come to join this ceremony.
According to the statement of Khmer New year last Year,
Hotels, Guest houses are over booked.
So, we expect that Cambodia New year 2016 this year, number
of room in Guest houses and hotels are not much left.
Be careful, during Khmer New Year, there are a lot of people
travel around the city on the road. So you have to driver carefully, because accident
can occur every minute.
